Dec. 6/17

For the last 6 weeks it has been my privilege to take part in weekly business classes with 13 other remarkable people who, like me, are in the process of starting their own businesses.  Together, we have gained wisdom in the areas of managing our finances, marketing, human resources, and general business planning.  We have shared triumphs and tears, losses and laughter, fear and frustration.

Today is a tribute to those who embrace their fears and decide to launch a small business.  While the statistics suggest that most businesses fail within the first 5 years, what the stats don’t tell you is that these are real people with real dreams who are putting their heart and soul into trying to make their dreams come true.  If you are a small business owner, I take my hat off to you for the courage and determination you have to do what you do.  If you work for a small business, take the first opportunity you can to go to the owner and thank them for taking the risks necessary to pursue their passions and create the very job you are fortunate to have!
