Nov. 30/17

I’ve been asked on more than one occasion why I chose the particular logo I have for Better Ways For Seniors…3 stones balanced on top of each other, and crowned with a green leaf.  There are at least 4 reasons why it speaks to me about working with and caring for seniors…over the next 4 days I will share one of those with you each day.

Reason 1:  Strength

There is a tendency in our society to see seniors often as weak and frail.  But what I have learned from seniors is that they possess an inner strength and determination that allows them to overcome so many of the obstacles life brings to them…the stones symbolize that strength of character that remains even when physical strength may be declining.  Interestingly, just yesterday I received a call from a senior I have known for a number of years, who had fallen in her home, and didn’t know who else to call to take her to the hospital.  While she was clearly in a great deal of pain as I waited with her there, she was as determined as ever to “handle” whatever came her way out of this, just as she had always done with all the other challenges life had ever sent her way. She embodies the amazing strength of seniors!
