Dec. 8/17

Back in early October I went to a client’s house to clean her windows and do some gardening for her. I remember how delighted she was that I used the old fashioned approach of vinegar water and newspapers on the windows. I remember as well how much she was enjoying one last unusually warm day to be outside in the garden she loved.

That day she had me plant 3 plants for her. She told me how much she looked forward to seeing how they did in spring and said she would have me back again for more gardening… I learned today that she just passed away, so I won’t see her in spring after all. But whoever the fortunate person is who moves into her former home will get an extra bonus… flowers will come up in spring in memory of her… whenever you get a chance to plant something, do it the first chance you get. Life is too unpredictable to wait till it’s “worth it” or till it’s “a better time”…
